Everyone is still arguing about whether it is necessary to fertilize potatoes when planting. Some believe that the ashes should be poured out, while others believe that it should not. There is also a category of gardeners who recommend putting a ball of aluminum foil in the hole, because it supposedly nourishes the soil with very important microelements. However, this applies to fiction. We would like to advise you on a method that has been tried and tested over the years, thanks to which you can harvest almost an entire bucket of harvest from a single bush.

What you’ll need for this:
- Wood ash;
- Coriander seeds;
- Urea (urea);
- Onion peel;
- Water.
All of this will protect the potatoes and give them nutrition, which will contribute to a rich harvest.
Fertilizer Sequence
You should pour urea (1 teaspoon) into the bottom of the hole. Sprinkle a small handful of ash on top (about 1/3 cup 200 ml). Then place a small handful of onion peels in the hole (about a full plastic cup). Mix everything well.
Important! Don’t overdo it with urea, because an overdose of urea will have the opposite effect!
Next, you need to spray the healthy mixture with a thin layer of soil so that the potatoes do not come into contact with the nutrient mixture. Then put the potato in the hole and fill it with a liter of water. Once the water has been absorbed, fill the hole with soil.
However, this is not the end yet! You should also plant a couple of coriander seeds in the hole with potatoes. This aromatic herb will protect the potato bush from pests.

The essence of these fertilizers.
Urea contains a large amount of nitrogen, which is so necessary for plants. Onion peels contain many microelements, thanks to which the bush is strengthened, immunity is boosted and the plant is better adapted to difficult conditions. Ash protects potatoes from fungi and bacteria that can cause disease.
If you do everything correctly, you’ll get a rich crop of large potatoes!
