House fires have been a major source of anxiety for me for as long as I can remember. I constantly make sure to check the stove, candles, and dryer vent for lint, even though I’ve never had a home fire myself (perhaps because I’m quite paranoid). If it weren’t for one man’s Facebook post, however, I would have been completely unaware of one possible fire danger.
Jason Whitaker, a native of Kentucky, posted a Facebook warning about a shocking finding in his house. He went on to say that he almost tore his home down in his search for the source of a scent that smelt like an electrical fire.
Nothing except ladybugs were contained inside the light bulb’s spiral coils. It’s true – ladybugs. Ladybugs apparently found their way inside the bulb’s coils because of the light and heat it emits. From Jason’s images, it is clear that the ladybug aggregation was on the verge of catching fire from the bulb’s heat.
I would have never known about this possible fire danger had Jason not posted it, therefore I thought it was necessary to share it with you all. Be on the lookout for cunning creatures attempting to get warm within these bulbs if you have any in your light fixtures or lamps. It is quite probable that you are averting a home fire.
Thank you for sharing this. Priceless and may you always be safe.
