Orchid without roots – this is how you can proceed

As I said, let’s get an orchid without roots. It’s easy and even beginners can do it. So if you have one of these plants without roots, know that you don’t have to throw it away because there is a way to keep it alive.  So take your orchid with dry roots and cut them off when they are completely black.

Their color must be green, tending to gray, so if they are not that color, remove them. Only the base of the tree will remain, which you must clean very well and you can help yourself with scissors.  Now take the garlic  . This ingredient has antibacterial properties and will help you because it is an excellent antiseptic.

Take a clove of garlic and put it in a bowl.  Use a garlic press or mortar to squeeze it  . Now add  half a liter of water and filter the water  to remove any residue. Take a cotton pad, dip it in garlic water and wipe the leaves of the plant with it.

Then take  a glass jar, put the plant stem in the soil and pour the garlic water in until it covers it.  Leave it like this for about 30 minutes. Pour the terracotta seeds you want to put in the vase into the remaining water. And place an absorbent, soft cloth such as gauze on top.

Now take a bottle and cut it off, keeping only the neck and the bottom. For the first, about 5 centimeters is enough, for the second, about 10 centimeters.  Take the cheesecloth, squeeze it and wrap it around the orchid tree  . Insert the gauze into the neck of the bottle from the narrow end. Instead, put the terracotta seeds and clean water in the bottom.

Then close it with the other side of the bottle. The cloth will absorb the water and keep the base of the plant moist at all times. Place this bottle in a cool place for about 2 weeks and spray the leaves every 2 days. Change the water when it is dirty or running low.  After 2 months you will start to see results and you can transplant the plant when the roots have reached 6/7 cm  .
