Breakfast Sliders

These Breakfast Sliders are a family favorite! Made with cheese, scrambled eggs, seasoned ham melted on Hawaiian rolls then brushed with a butter mixture of everything bagel seasoning and poppy seeds.

Ham & Egg Sliders

These sliders can be whipped up and cooked in no time for breakfast. The eggs and tender ham combine so well with the gooey and melted cheese. The buttered and seasoned Hawaiian rolls add the perfect touch and will make you fall in love with the first bite.

Key Ingredients You’ll Need

Rolls: I prefer to use Hawaiian rolls, but any kind will work perfectly.

Cheese: I love using Colby Jack cheese, but any kind will work.

Ham: You will need thinly sliced deli ham for this recipe. It can be smoked, honey, or black forest.

Eggs: You will need a good about of scrambled eggs, but they can also be sunny side up or fried if desired.

Seasoning: You will need cajun seasoning for the main flavoring, you will need everything bagel seasoning, and poppy seeds for the butter mixture that goes on the rolls with the butter.

Dijon Mustard: This mustard combined with Worcestershire sauce will add a smokey and tangy flavor to the recipe.

How To Make Breakfast Sliders

Step 1. Set the oven to 350 degrees. Add 2 tablespoons of butter into a medium frying pan or skillet over medium heat to melt. Add the eggs into a bowl with the cajun seasoning and whisk to combine. Put the prepared eggs into the pan and scramble until fully cooked through. Cut the rolls in half and arrange the bottom onto a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Place 4 slices of cheese on the bottom half of the rolls. Add the layer of eggs on top before folding the ham slices on top. Place the rest of the cheese on top and place the other half of the rolls on top.

Step 2. Add the 6 tablespoons of butter into a medium mixing bowl and melt. Put in the dijon mustard, worcheshire sauce, everything bagel seasoning, and the poppy seeds and combine until fully incorporated. Use a spoon to add the butter mixture on top of the rolls before placing them into the oven for 15 minutes until light brown. Allow the sliders to cool slightly before cutting the rolls so they are separate from each other. Serve warm and enjoy!

Tips & Tricks For The Best Breakfast Sliders:

Here are a few great tips for making the best sliders:

  • Instead of ham, you can switch it out with sausage or bacon.
  • I love Colby Jack cheese with this recipe, but feel free to use pepper jack, cheddar, swiss, mozzarella, etc.
  • To add a bit of a kick to the sliders, you can add some hot sauce or jalapenos.
  • Place the leftovers in an airtight container for the best storage method for up to 3 days.

Can I Make Sliders Ahead Of Time?

Yes! You can absolutely make these ahead of time if needed. You can wrap them up in an airtight container in the fridge. Right before serving you can add the butter mixture onto the rolls and bake according to the instructions.
